Poems and Ramblings

And when the wind…

And when the wind blew from the sea

it entered her soul

making her weep

memories of a past long gone arose

and stung her eyes

a youth, whose hair even now she felt,

 long and straight between

gnarled and knobbled fingers

how well she knew the touch

of every strand

and when the wind blew from the hills

a blond and blue eyed baby, whose

trusting eyes looked into hers

became a memory

to make her smile

and when the air was still and lifeless

old age held her mind as

about her the living past faded

and fear became her

memory.
